WebMay 16, 2015 · I went to DEW Haven (last year at this time it was DEW Sanctuary) in July 2014. I was highly disappointed by what I encountered there. The enclosures were mostly packed down dirt and there were piles of decaying feces in most of them. The smell was terrible and the animals just lay in the hot sun looking very depressed with no place to hide.
