WebEdith Nakpil-Rabat was crowned Miss Philippines in 1955 and later served as a member of the Batasang Pambanasa under the Marcos regime. She married Davao Oriental governor Francisco Rabat and was known as the "First Lady of Davao". Nakpil died on May 7, 1986, aged 87.
