WebI have a bunch of files on a file server that have a grey X on them. Like this. The X goes away when I try to access the file. This shows the same when looking at the folder from a client PC as well. My searching over the internet gives about 30 different reasons, which all don't seem to fix my particular variant. WebThanks for the reply. The only cloud storage solution I use is OneDrive, and that folder is not one of the synced ones. I ended up copying the contents of the folder to a different directory, deleting it, then renaming the new location to "Backup Files" and that got rid of the X, but I really can't figure out what caused it in the first place.
